Employee Profile: Félix Doyon - Associate Manager, Clinical Data Management

Félix Doyon is an Associate Manager, Clinical Data Management and has been at Veristat since October 2013. He works in Veristat's Montreal office.

What other titles have you held at Veristat?

Clinical Data Manager II and Senior Clinical Data Manager.

What was your first job?

Working at SUBWAY Restaurants. My first real job was as a Clinical Data Manager.

What was your first impression of Veristat?

It had a family atmosphere. I felt like everyone actually took the time to get to know me as an individual, not just some random guy from Montreal in the new office.

What do you find most challenging about working for Veristat?

The clients want everything right now. It can be difficult to juggle all of those deliverables and prioritize which one goes first. Time is the most precious commodity.

What do you wish other people knew about Veristat?

From the Montreal perspective, I wish that people knew we were here. A lot of people in Montreal don't know Veristat, don't know what a CRO is, and don't know that CROs are as important as pharma.

What do you think will change about Veristat in the next 5 years?

We will continue to expand. We just got set up in San Francisco. I think we will continue to grow, and grow fast. I can see us expanding to Europe next.

What's it like to be an Associate Manager, Clinical Data Management at Veristat?

I find it stimulating. There are a lot of different studies that I work on and different tasks to perform, which makes every day a different day. Also, when something doesn't go as planned I love figuring out what went wrong and how to fix it.

What do you do for fun when you're not at work?

I ski, play soccer, rock climb, and travel. Most recently I went to Hawaii and Spain. I also like to play strategy board games like Battlestar Galactica and Game of Thrones. I like games with an element of diplomacy.
