This year’s Annual Symposium in Pharmaceutical Medicine is focusing on Patient Engagement from the perspectives of clinical trials, drug development, and the safe use of medicinal products. It is essential that patients are properly informed using lay language summaries to enable them to make educated decisions. Drug shortages, particularly in crisis regions, are a tremendous problem, especially for patients with chronic diseases. The Symposium will bring to light these important issues and more.
