We're proud to announce that Veristat has received our first EcoVadis Committed Badge, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to operational sustainability and responsible business practices.
Our EcoVadis Achievement
EcoVadis, the global standard for rating operational sustainability commitments, practices, and performance, has awarded Veristat the Committed Badge, representing good performance within the EcoVadis methodology.
What This Means for Veristat
Our EcoVadis assessment evaluated Veristat across four core sustainability themes:
-
Environment - Our environmental impact and management practices
-
Labor & Human Rights - Our commitment to fair labor practices and human rights
-
Ethics - Our ethical business conduct and integrity measures
-
Sustainable Procurement - Our responsible sourcing and supplier engagement
The assessment particularly highlighted our strongest performance in Ethics and Labor & Human Rights, demonstrating our dedication to conducting business with integrity while prioritizing the well-being of our team members.
Our Sustainability Foundation in Action
This recognition reflects practices we've embedded throughout our organization. Our remote-first approach across 12 countries naturally reduces our environmental footprint while supporting work-life balance for our global team. With 66% of our workforce operating remotely and women comprising over 60% of our leadership positions, we've built an inclusive, sustainable operating model that aligns with our values.
Our commitment extends beyond our internal operations. We support our communities through annual volunteer programs and maintain flexible work arrangements that enable our team members to contribute meaningfully both professionally and personally.
A Foundation for Continuous Improvement
While we celebrate this achievement, we view our EcoVadis scorecard as more than recognition, it's a roadmap for continuous improvement. The assessment provides clear guidance on areas where we can enhance our sustainability practices and deepen our positive impact.
This scorecard validates our existing sustainability commitments while identifying opportunities to develop further policies and processes. As we work toward our September 2026 review, we're committed to implementing those corrective actions that will strengthen our sustainability performance across all four core themes.
Meeting Client and Industry Expectations
In today's business environment, sustainability isn't just the right thing to do, it's essential for meeting client supplier ESG requirements and earning client trust. Our EcoVadis Committed Badge demonstrates to current and prospective clients that Veristat is a responsible partner committed to sustainable business practices.
As a clinical research organization (CRO) supporting the development of life-saving therapies, we understand that our responsibility extends beyond delivering specialized scientific expertise. We're committed to conducting our operations in ways that protect the environment, support our communities, and uphold the highest ethical standards.
Looking Ahead
EcoVadis will plant a tree on our behalf to celebrate this achievement, a fitting symbol of growth and our commitment to environmental stewardship. This milestone represents the beginning of our formal sustainability journey, not the end.
We're excited to share our EcoVadis rating with clients and continue building on this foundation. Our global team remains dedicated to advancing not only the science of clinical research but also the sustainability of how we conduct that vital work.
